Auditory Integration Training (AIT)

Receiving a diagnosis of Autism can be devastating to parents, they can be overwhelmed by fear and grief for the loss of the future they had hoped for their child. No one expects to have a child with a developmental disability. However, it's very important for parents to know that autistic individuals have the potential to grow and improve. Contrary to what may be heard, Autistic Children can improve significantly.  The most important thing is to find effective treatments and education for autistic children as soon as possible, the earlier these children receive appropriate treatment the more improved they can be.

Their progress through life will likely be slower than others, but they can still lead happy and productive lives.

Auditory Integration Training (AIT) is considered one of the recent modalities for rehabilitation of Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorders (ADHD) and Learning Disability.

The Theory of this training is based on the fact that those children have problem in sensory integration process through which the normal individual responds to sensory stimuli (Auditory, Visual, Touch,..). The deficit of sensory integration is supposed to be due to hypersensitivity to those stimuli.
